Guest guest
I've heard that, for most people, a tetanus shot works for life and no booster is needed. Can anyone confirm that? I'm thinking it's probably a good idea to get adult blood titers for it in case one gets gouged by that rusty nail and is stuck wondering, " Should I or shouldn't I? " Is there any alternative to the adult mercury-laced tetanus booster? Just in case someone asks me? > > Yes, the old tetanus vaccine was replaced by the Decavac " trace > thimerosal " vaccine a few years ago. Guest guest
I've always been told that a booster is needed every 10 years. I don't know if that's just the pharma party-line though. With this news (and the NJ and land news), I have to say I think they are definitely rubbing it in our faces. We need more journalists with their spines intact. > > > > Yes, the old tetanus vaccine was replaced by the Decavac " trace > > thimerosal " vaccine a few years ago. Guest guest
I do know that lockjaw is so extremely rare that your chances of getting sick from a tetnus shot are much greater than getting lockjaw.anacat_11 <anacat_11@...> wrote: I've heard that, for most people, a tetanus shot works for life and no booster is needed.
