Adult ill from MMR booster

A student of mine (about 35ish adult male)had to get an MMR booster,

required in NY for college students and said he became sick for the

first time in 15 years he missed a week of work and school. I wonder

what part of the shot made him ill.

I have heard of people getting rubella or measles from the vaccine.

Anybody know anyhting about this?
