It's like the fact that a larger percentage of blind people have

perfect pitch than the average population-- if you maim the development

of one or more faculties of the brain, the brain's energy pours into

other functions.

Were he suddenly tranformed into someone with normal cognitions who

could make a decision about how he'd prefer to be, I'm sure this guy

would rather function normally and just be a really good renderer with

a chance to make true original contributions to art than be a disabled

poster boy who produces perfectly rote but unoriginal drawings.
