Guest guest
It ran in NY. I have it on my dvr. Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T Did anyone see Obama ad during Eli Stone? There's some question as to whether the ad actually ran (oh, say it's not so!). Does anyone remember seeing it during the pilot? I didn't sit through all of the commercials, so I don't personally know.
Guest guest
I did not see it here in Arkansas. > > There's some question as to whether the ad actually ran (oh, say it's > not so!). Guest guest
Unless things are different from twenty years ago, the way a network show works is the ads are split up between local and national. So, an episode of Eli Stone will have about 75 percent of its ads be the same nationally. The rest will be the local affiliate spots. That's why my list of ads in NY will be different than a list from Texas or wherever. This is done for many reasons. Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T Re: Did anyone see Obama ad during Eli Stone? Guest guest
Thanks, . So, for those who wondered, yes, looks like Obama bought air time and didn't back out. Did anyone in other areas see other candidate ads during the show? > > > > There's some question as to whether the ad actually ran (oh, say it's > > not so!). Guest guest
I could be wrong here, but I used to work in network TV and I believe that when advertisers buy, they buy for a time slot, say 8-11 (primetime, etc) and their ad gets placed that way. i doubt there was much picking and choosing of shows when it comes to what ads ran during Eli Stone. > > > > There's some question as to whether the ad actually ran (oh, say it's > > not so!). Guest guest
Wonder if one of us could ask one of the same people we called to thank if any advertisers did try to bring any pressure to bear or threaten to remove their business... > > > > > > There's some question as to whether the ad actually ran (oh, say it's > > > not so!). Guest guest
You mean, which advertisers charged around and threatened to pull out but didn't as opposed to the advertisers that did pull out? I'm a little slow today and am not quite sure what you mean. > > > > > > > > There's some question as to whether the ad actually ran (oh, > say it's > > > > not so!). Guest guest
I didn't see an Obama ad I suspect that you live in a Super Tuesday state and it was run on your local station and not nationally. Who's never won? Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music.
Guest guest
Well exactly- in other words, it may not have even been advertisers for that time slot. What if say- Merck threatened not to advertise on ABC anymore...just as an example. I would just be really curious to know if ANYONE besides the AAP & CDC tried to coerce or even made threats. > > > >
