Guest guest
It is sad to have to meet this way, but I have found very useful info since I joined this group. Several mention prednisone here, but the medications help some, while hurting others. I have learned the hard way, from prednison and methotrexate, that once you begin taking these, you must be very careful not to be around anyone sick. I was in the er three times in two weeks because of my reduced immune system and so far my doc hasn't found the correct compo of meds, but that is a very slow process. One thing I believe you'll see is the weather will play a big difference in the way you feel. And, you must learn to pace yourself (I have a difficult time with that, myself) as if you over do yourself, you will hurt for several days afterwards. It took me three years to get diagnosed properly, and my hands are very deformed because of that. Just hang in there, and do what you can, as the more you use the arthritic parts the less deformity will be, however, just don't overdo it. It also can effect you mentally, with depression, if you let it. I let mine get me to the point of suicide before I was able to get help, and I thank God everyday that I didn't go through with my plans.
