Guest guest
I know breast implants cause illness, you have all shown me that and kept me from getting implants myself last week. The problem, as I am told by doctors, is that women blame all of their illnesses on implants, if they develop autoimmune problems. You could be right, perhaps you would have lead a perfectly healthy, long life, as your family has, without autoimmune issues. The problem is there are women like me, who in my mid-20’s (younger than you were) developed autoimmune issues and had no implants and like you, have no familial history and am the only “unhealthy” one. The medical community can’t differentiate between people who have autoimmune issues just because they do or if they are indeed caused by implants. Because women are much more likely than men to develop autoimmune problems in their lifetime, it makes it even harder for doctors to figure out if implants are related. Kenda Totally .I agree. The longer i had them, the more I got out of whack. I had them almost 9 years. And there is no auto immnue illness whatsoever in my families. Im the 1st! There is just heart disease in my grandfather, otherwise, very healthy family really! It may have been the mycoplasma infection, or even the infections I had from them, or having a foregn object in itself.Who knows? All I know is at 26, I shouldnt have 2 auto immnue illnesses with no family history, and symptoms of ms as well when I had them- and that is so young! Guest guest
Hi Lea, I understand how you feel and am so grateful that you have prevented me from walking down your path. I have dealt with enough illness and disease in my lifetime already and have experienced the frustration and depression that goes along with it. I was very sick for five years and sick for years leading up to the peak. It was explained to me by a doctor that the reason the FDA and doctors don’t link implants with illness is because of what I explained in my previous post (below), it was NOT my personal opinion. I am an example of why the FDA thinks implants are safe, I was a young woman with autoimmune disorders and no implants and there are a lot of women like me. Guest guest
Kenda, I understand that you haven't been implanted and see that many women can "blame" all their illness on implants. I attribute implants, (or foreign objects as have been well known in the medical field to trigger auto immnue illness like hip replacements and organs) to my responses and also after my findings. Obvousily, you don't know my story-For me, I know for a fact and so do three of my doctors now that implants were causing an immune response, and these were the same docs that told me they weren't making me sick in the beginning. I had blood work done before with implants and also after explant, about 2 months in between. While implanted I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthrits,(as well as thyroid) with positve inflammatory markers and also a postive ANA's that my neuro was nervous about .After explant, the Rhuematoid arthrits went into remission, as to my doctors shock, the markers went negative. I no longerhad AUTO IMMUNE INFLAMMATORY Counts and no longer have a problem with that auto immune illlness. RA is gone. Never been back. Or the other markers- such as ANA's that then went away. This wasnt a shock to me, as many studies find these same inflammatory counts go away post explant. My thyroid antibodies went from 12,000 to 70 within three weeks. When they were 12,000 for over two years. Something made these antibodies settle down, perhaps again...explant! All this, went with the theory that implants trigger immnue responses in some people. Simple fact, I got ill with them and reacted terribly. I got them out, and improved health wise and on blood work for proof. Also, before anyone says implants are safe, if you saw what came out of my body, and the almost 7 hours it took to scrape the gunk out of me, those things were infected and in no way safe for my body. My capsules in themselves ,were showing a severe auto immnue respose to the implants. I know that some women in their 20's get auto immune diseases, you dont need implants for that to happen . Of course. What was different in my situation was some of mine went away after explant. Was that I had implants and the very controversial thing about them ,like causing disease, specifically certain immune disease, was happening to me. And then guess what, problems went way mysteriously after explant. Thats why we are here, to discuss the fact that this can happen, to help women get them out, get well through explant and detox measures and move on. Becasue so many of us share this same story. Its uncanny. And to also hear them estactically say their conditions are improving after explant. To say it could have happened anyway, is not why we are here. >From: "Lea " <devans@...> >Reply- >< > >Subject: Re: Re: autoimmune diseases >Date: Thu, 14 Apr 2005 09:31:42 -0600 > >Re: Re: autoimmune diseasesDearest Kenda: > >We are concerned about having an autoimmune disease, however; >we are worried about the high rupture rate and the disfigurement that we have experienced. Guest guest
, I do not debate whether you were sick or not because of implants. I have said many times, you know your body better than anyone else and know what is going on with you. What you aren’t understanding in my post is that I am not citing MY opinion but am citing the MEDICAL PROFESSION’s opinion that was provided to me and the reason they feel implants aren’t related to autoimmune disease. I was used as a classic example of why the doctors feel implanted women would have become sick anyway due to a different trigger later in their life. There is no way to prove whether one would have gotten sick later in life due to other triggers, had they not been implanted. We don’t have two identical bodies. Again, me as an example, I chose not to implant because of what I have read here, a positive ANA 10 years ago (no longer positive) and the advice of Dr. Leu. Knowing my body, I’d bet money that I’d react to the implants just as you have and the implants would have triggered it because I am now healthy. In an MD’s view, the fact that I was healthy prior to getting implants isn’t important, they would focus on the positive ANA I had 10 years ago and say I would have been unhealthy anyway. If we could clone ourselves it would make proof to the medical field very easy. Implant one body, not the other and show them what happens. Obviously this is ridiculous but would work. I don’t minimize anyone’s pain or suffering, it is real and you all have been hurt by your implants. If you feel that I have, I am sorry that was never my intention. I was only sharing what doctors have told me so that perhaps women here could better understand what their doctors are thinking. Kenda Kenda, I understand that you haven't been implanted and see that many women can " blame " all their illness on implants. Guest guest
Honey, my research was published by doctors, toxicologists, and top of the line medical researchers. Who are your doctors? One of the things that I am doing is educating doctors because some doctors do not have the time to do the research that is needed so badly. is a perfect example of what most all of us have faced. Doctors are still telling women that they are suffering from depression. Then they try to convince them that they need to see a psychiatrist, I know because that is what happened to me. The psychiatrist put the doctors in their place, she was wonderful. I'm very lucky because I have a wonderful group of doctors who believe that my health problems were caused by faulty implants. Also my family doctor has watched me suffer for over 20 years. He has removed more cysts from my body than any other patient. I had cysts on my face, neck, foot and many hard little cysts on my bottom, he has removed them all. As you know, I also had internal cysts and tumours. Have you read my story? We love you still...Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`````````````````````````````` Re: Re: autoimmune diseases I know breast implants cause illness, you have all shown me that and kept me from getting implants myself last week. Guest guest
Kenda, I understand, but believe me-most of us know what docs think, as we have been told, turned down, scolded, laughed at, that the implants were of no part of our illnesses. Its really quite sad. At least they could be open to the possiblity that they could be making you sick. That you could be reacting... Thats why I requested tests and kept after them. I have a neurologist that nows asks what types of implants a woman has on her patient questionaire, and is noticing a lyme like condition that resembles MS in saline implanted women, while arthritic (like lupas, or RA) in silicones . She ponders on the infectious part of salines with that. Had I listened to the docs, I would have left those moldy capsules that were attached to my ribs, and running underneath my right rib, full of infections, leading to what? My heart?Same with the nasty implants.... How can they swear a product is not faulty or moldy? How would they know? Just like they know alot about HRt and Vioxx. Sure, Ill believe they look into these devises and products. Sure! Im sorry if I was mistaken, your emails just seemed to back up the docs opinons that auto imnue illnesses arent triggered by implants, that most are women in their 20's without them. And the whole debate about how celiac is no way being triggered, or now a needs a "necessary trigger" like implants to have it. I never said you cant get celiac without implants, I only wondered if the implants could trigger the onset of a silent genetic disease in some that would never come out with it. Im sorry if you were taken the wrong way, and in the end, am most happy that you arent getting implants. You are saving yourself years of illness and the case of proof to make the docs again, seem like idiots., when they do make you ill. You sound like a smart gal, into holistic measures and will live a great life, not scarred by breast implants. If only i had this information earlier! Guest guest
Lea, I was asking one of my doctors about why the FDA and doctors investigating implants allow them to be implanted in women’s bodies. Aside from money, the reasons are as I have listed previously. Plastic surgeons tell us there are no proven links to illness and disease and actually believe it. Again, never have I said that I dispute any of your health issues and I don’t. I went through hell and back to get where I am today, also being told along the way that I needed counseling or was depressed. Mainstream medicine doesn’t believe as you and I believe, I was simply trying to explain it as it was explained to me by one of my doctors. Kenda Honey, my research was published by doctors, toxicologists, and top of the line medical researchers. Guest guest
Hi , No, believe me, I am not supportive of mainstream medicine at all. I have an MD in case I ever need one but see Dr. Leu (my ND) for all of my health care needs, minus pap smears. You and I didn’t seem to communicate well in some of our emails but we agreed on more than we disagreed on. As far as celiacs go, my point was that no trigger is “necessary”. At first I misunderstood your definition of trigger and thought you were referring to gluten. I then interpreted your email as saying that a genetic link as well as a trigger were absolutely necessary. Many people do have triggers, ie., surgeries, illness or pregnancy but not all. My daughter is in the no trigger category. I only wanted you to realize that some people don’t have triggers at all. When I was sick, it seemed like it affected all of me and I wondered what bodily part would fail me next. I believed, despite what my docs told me, that all of these things were not coincidental and I was not simply a weak person, something caused it but I didn’t know what — and most importantly, I wasn’t crazy. I felt like I was going to develop cancer or some other dreadful, horrible disease and die. Fortunately I found my first ND. I cleaned up my diet, started detoxing and changed my life. I really saved my life. We’re not that dissimilar, really. I just didn’t have implants but had some other unknown trigger that caused my illnesses. Kenda Kenda, I understand, but believe me-most of us know what docs think, as we have been told, turned down, scolded, laughed at, that the implants were of no part of our illnesses. And the whole debate about how celiac is no way being triggered, or now a needs a " necessary trigger " like implants to have it. Guest guest
Hi Lea, No need to apologize, my emails were misunderstood and I am sorry for that. Both you and interpreted them as being supportive of MD’s and I simply am not. I always quiz doctors about the whys of how everything works in their world and wanted to pass on what they told me. I DO NOT AGREE WITH THEM. I’m sorry you’re having a bad day and truly hope tomorrow is a better day. Much love, Kenda Kenda Dearest Kenda: I'm sorry if I have hurt you. If so, please direct me to the email that discusses this... or if you haven;t addressed it specfically, can you describe the process of using aloe and ozone to build the immune system?
