Antibiotics for Jaundice Treatment?

My friend who was pregnant with a baby

with Downs Syndrome said they are treating him with antibiotics for jaundice.

(????) Has anyone heard of this? My guess is that he must have an underlying

infection of some sort.

I am very concerned because I’ve

heard that antibiotics are not good for you, especially infants.
