Guest guest
I actually disagree...not giving your vote to Ron is like saying you believe in the status quo. Here is something to chew on....Which famous president won the GOP nomination with only 22 delegates? Abe Lincoln did it because of a Brokered Convention. It could happen to Ron as well. From Ron 's website: www.ronpaul2008.com Americans are justifiably concerned over the government’s escalating intervention into their freedom to choose what they eat and how they take care of their health. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in order to comply with standards dictated by supra-national organizations such as the UN‘s World Food Code (CODEX), NAFTA, and CAFTA, has been assuming greater control over nutrients, vitamins and natural health care providers to restrict your right to choose the manner in which you manage your health and nutritional needs. I have been the national leader in preserving Health Freedom. I have introduced the Health Freedom Protection Act, HR 2117, to ensure Americans can receive truthful health information about supplements and natural remedies. I support the Access to Medical Treatment Act, H.R. 2717, which expands the ability of Americans to use alternative medicine and new treatments. I oppose legislation that increases the FDA‘s legal powers. FDA has consistently failed to protect the public from dangerous drugs, genetically modified foods, dangerous pesticides and other chemicals in the food supply. Meanwhile they waste public funds attacking safe, healthy foods and dietary supplements. I also opposed the Homeland Security Bill, H.R. 5005, which, in section 304, authorizes the forced vaccination of American citizens against small pox. The government should never have the power to require immunizations or vaccination**************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music. Guest guest
Ron still has a chance--it's about the delegates and how they vote. Against mandatory vaccinations Against National ID For alternative medicine being OUR choice -- against CODEX ?Against Medicare and Medicaid? Not! He still believes that you take care of the elderly and disabled. Where do you think the current Medicare and Medicaid system is heading now? How is any candidate going to pay for it? It seems we are going to lose it anyhow if McCain, , or Obama gets the White House. They just keep on spending-they are all the same. Can't believe anything McCain says..I believe he is a fake and huge flipflopper. Besides, if GWB wants him - you know it's trouble. None of these candidates have a fiscal responsibilty bone in their body. We will get nowhere with this bunch. Our country is in seroius economic trouble and borrowing from the Chinese to fund the war, send rebate checks, etc...is bankrupting our great country. Our own GAO (govt accountability officer) is saying this. Search ...he was also on Glenn Beck. Ron has been fighting the system for our personal freedoms and liberty for 20 years..and his voting records back this up. He is genuine and does not change his platform or flip flop to please others. Look at his donors --- individuals, no money from big pharmaceuticals or lobbyist. He cannot be bought!! Daughter with autism for 15 years and I am so sick of the politicians and the mainstream media (MSNBC, CNN ,esp. FOX news). Quit turning to these news channels -- they are biased and against us. We all know the truth and don't need to keep supporting these propaganda pushing media whores. Had to quit watching MSNBC when IMUS left. I will support Ron to the end...esp for my daughter!!! I will write him in if I have to. Sorry for the rant, I am usually pretty quiet and just lurk and keep up on the latest news.
Guest guest
Hi, If this is in response to my recent post on Ron 's Medicare/ Medicaid policies, I have a few questions. Can you quote Ron somewhere on taking care of the elderly and disabled? Just curious on how he is going to deal with this problem. And if you were responding to my post, nowhere in it did I say that I was backing McCain. There are problems with all of the front-runners right now, but the reality is that they are front- runners. Ron has very little chance of winning right now, even if everyone with a vaccine- injured child voted for him, and then a few thousand. We are now down to the reality of " picking the lesser of evils " here, I believe. And if we all got involved with our local representatives, even a phone call or e-mail a week, we could still ensure change. The reality is that, no matter who wins the presidency, no one is prepared for the tidal wave of kids aging out of services that we are on the brink of. Care- givers in homes that adults with disabilities are living in are already underpaid. There is abuse and gross neglect that is fairly common right now. This is a real problem that will only get worse in even the next five years. The best thing that we can do right now is to address these issues with our candidates and our representatives. > > Ron still has a chance--it's about the delegates and how they vote. > Against mandatory vaccinations > Against National ID > For alternative medicine being OUR choice -- against CODEX > ?Against Medicare and Medicaid? Guest guest
Ron has NO chance of winning. To vote for him is simply making a statement, which some choose to do. However, and altho our choices are really narrowed-one might pick the best of the worst--a vote for Ron is, in a sense, throwing away your vote. Guest guest
Oh god, who brought up politics. What's next? Religion?? OY! I agree with Maurine. I'm a huge Ron fan, but at this point it's definitely throwing a vote away. I hope Hillary wins the primary, because she absolutely will not win an election. People just seem to hate her. (I'm one of them.) And if she boo hoo's one more time. PUH-LEASE. A presidential candidate is turning on the tears? Give me a break. What's she going to do if there's a terrorist attack? Throw a temper tantrum??? Cry some more? Stomp her feet?? Wah. It's an embarrassment. Not to mention that her husband turned the oval office into a flipping brothel. I'll never look at a cigar quite the same way again, that's for sure!!! It doesn't matter who wins -- they're all crooks. P.S. -- Anyone have some good SEC info? *cough*whitewater*cough* > > Ron has NO chance of winning. To vote for him is simply making a statement, which some choose to do. Guest guest
I am one who did it to make a statement. I feel if a lot more people would make it instead of worrying about " throwing a vote away " - we would actually show some force. And that's no slam to anyone on this list- my parents said that to me- that they wouldn't suport him because it would be throwing a vote away. I just think the media who tried to shut him out are winning- and those who say he's their #1 candidate but don't vote for him are letting them win. -- In EOHarm , kahybl@... wrote: > > I actually disagree...not giving your vote to Ron is like saying you > believe in the status quo. Guest guest
Ron will have my Ohio vote, as well as my husband's. I hope I have swayed at least some of my friends to do the same. I agree, it was the media who has tried to squelch his name right out of the nomination. Surprise, surprise!!!...Who lines the pockets of the media???? Well, they don't pay me, and that's one right they will never take away. If all I acomplish is to make a statement, then so be it! Ron , it is! -Trish
