Guest guest
My boys were born at 33 weeks. 's water broke at 21 weeks (we think) and resealed - I had contractions on and off from then on. Then is really broke at 27 weeks. The doctors thought I would deliver that night, but managed to hold off with the Mag sulfate and terbutiline pump till 33 weeks. I was in the hospital for 7 weeks total. Greyson weighed 3 lbs 12 oz and 3 lbs 8 oz. Greyson was in NICU for three weeks and was in for six weeks following his deuodenal atresia surgery. Speaking of dogs reaction, our little daschund was our " first child " . We were very concerned how she would react especially since I had been gone so long. She was wonderful from the start, she wouldn't leave the bassinett for anything. She thought and still thinks they are hers. had the apenea monitor paid for by insurance for about 5 mos. Greyson came home first and then when came home we had borrowed a large bassinett from a friend and when we put them back together for the first time since birth they both settled in so calmly and little by little inched there way over and fell deep into sleep with their foreheads touching. It was so lovely. We had to take a picture and its one of my favorites. I think they missed each other. I just remember being so worried the entire time they were in the hospital and just thinking once we gst they home everything will be fine. Guest guest
Blake was born at 26 weeks weighing in at a BIG 1 lb. 6 oz. He was 12- 1/2 in. My husband could slide his size 10 wedding band up & down Blake's leg. Blake had a rough start. His immune problems were not " found " until he was 3 yrs. & still has breathing issues. he started IVIG at age 7- 1/2 after the Drs. all agreed he was not going to " out grow " his issues he was not just in " tansient Immune Dysfuntion, but had full blown CVID with Complete T-Cell Dysfunction. He started at 6 grams every 4 weeks. Then went to 10 grams every 3 weeks. When he had to have his Mastiod cavity & ear canal wall removed, he went to 10 grams every 2 weeks. In July of 2004, at age 12, they finally increased the IVIG to 12.5 grams. Tomorrow he goes to get his second dose of 15 grams, now 13. This is after being on IV antibiotics for the past 6 months non stop. He was due for treatment last Thurs. But due to an over booking of appointments they asked us to bring Blake in when they did not have so many sick children showing up. Right now he is still on the IV Cipro. We are hoping that this Friday he will do the last dose & be off for a while. (mom to Blake 13, CVID with Complete T-Cell Dysfunction.....IVIG every 2 weeks, Asthma, GERD, Asperger's Syndrome a Rare Blood Clotting Disorder, Intergrated Sensory Motor Skills delays..............Loves to read, hates Math & really believes he is 21!!!!!!)
