Guest guest
How MUCH hair did you lose....like ALOT or what? Are we talking like all, or some, or half or?.... Does the folic acid keep you from losing your hair? I just got my hair back from losing about half of it (seriously) from very, very stressful divorce. in CA > > > > Hi all, > > > > I got put on this because my rate was high and my rheumy > decided > > > > that waiting until September until my insurance came through > was > > > too > > > > long. Guest guest
Oh, just enough to clog the drain some every morning. A noticable amount but I'm not going bald or anything like that. The folic acid is supposed to help prevent hair loss. I am hoping the double dose stops this craziness. I am lucky, my divorce is not stressful at all. We split up all our property and sold our house before we filed. We got attorneys that have the same hourly rate and when there is something to be decided, we talk to each other and then tell our attorney's what the resolution is. The only difficulty we've had is child support, becuase his attorney kept adding all kinds of stuff to my income, saying I made $20k more than I actually did. We both just switched jobs and our daughter is in a much more expensive preschool, so it all has to be recalcuated. I just can't wait to see what his attorney comes up with this time. The way it works out I have to pay him child support, since I have my daughter 50% of the time but make 65% of our combined income, plus I pay all daycare expenses. I hate it but I don't have a choice. He has a graduate degree, so this isn't a situation of he gave up something during the marriage which caused him to have reduced income now. He just picked a career that doesn't pay that much because he figured I'd always support him. Oh well. I am sorry your divorce was so stressful. That is not good when you have RA. Is it finalized? We've just finished the waiting period and I'm hoping it can be done next month, as I'm planning it to be my birthday present for myself (bday is in the beginning of September). But I seem to be the only one to want the process to move along swiftly. Guest guest
Possibly, since it causes hair loss on the head, I would think it could react with hair elsewhere. All I can advise is monitor the situation, watch for further evidence of hair loss and report to your doctor. It is weird how a small dose effects some to the extreme with the hair loss and for others nothing. Hope it is just a fluke.e __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Caroline has experienced some hair loss with the MTX. It was at the higher dosage, but it did happen.... Alia and Caroline, age 5, poly and uveitis Methotrexate and Hair Loss Allie has recently gone onto methotrexate via injection. Thursday I was looking at her legs. She have very little hair on her legs, and it felt like it had all broken off. Stubbly. I asked her if she had ever shaved her legsf (11 yes it could happen) and she looked at me like I was foreign. Guest guest
My daughter is on .8ml Meth and has not experienced any hair loss. Actaully her legs are hairy monsters. It really depends on the dosage. I would check with your rheumy to make sure. Typically the dosage has to be really high for hair loss. lesliekray <leslie@...> wrote: Allie has recently gone onto methotrexate via injection. Thursday I was looking at her legs.
