a,

I appreciated you point of view regarding pain meds. Right now I am taking one

that can be addicting and I have been concerned and not taking it as much as I

could. Your point puts things in a new perspective.

I will be seeing the doctor on Tuesday - we are going to have to do something

with the pain. My jaw and shoulder are really causing me a lot of pain and this

makes it hard to sleep. I am also asking him to evaluate me for Fibromaliga.

When I first went to him, that is what my regular doctor thought I had. then I

was diagnosed with Ra. I suspect I have both, along with sojourns. With

everything that I'm dealing with and then all of my daughters medical problems,

I'm getting to be a regular walking medical book!! My sister, who is a nurse,

can't believe all of the things I know.

Hi Everyone:

I was diagnosed a few months ago and am on the usual meds: Prednisone (5 mg),

Methotrexate, Plaquenil and Neoral (cyclosporine). I take Darvocet everyday,

but I still have terrific pain. I've tried Vicodin and Ultram, both of which

don't really help the pain, but do put me to sleep. Has anyone tried anything

else they can recommend?

Thanks

gloria
