Guest guest
My buddies came back to visit me today and read my sweet welcome note. They seem to have done more exploring today and clicked on more links. Right on. Maybe the bureaucrat being paid by our tax dollars will actually learn something… But can someone with better technical knowledge than I have explain the referring URL…in other words, how did they navigate to me this time? It looks like an image/jpg search. I don’t get it…? Domain Name cdc.gov ? Guest guest
When you search google and click images, you can get images including gifs which are referenced by a search term from the text of a site but which the actual image may have nothing to do with. This also gives the url for the host site. So if you stepped on a set of toes and they know your name, they may have searched for the image, and then backtracked to the site proper based upon a " hit " on the first page of google results. If you are so inclined, try it and see what happens. You can get an entirely different set of first page results if you search for images than if you do a standard google search. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Wild...so trying it out myself it looks like they did a google image search for my picture. Also then an hour later they came back by directly going to the blog...probably showing it to a buddy in a neighboring cubicle...? Anyway, what credible reason would they have for looking for a picture of me? Weird stuff. But I am LOVING today! I got to see the parents' press conference, Deirdre, and hoping to see later. Hope the spin doesn't get even worse as the day goes on. It started out pretty exciting. > > When you search google and click images, you can get > images including gifs which are referenced by a search > term from the text of a site but which the actual > image may have nothing to do with. Guest guest
Well, I can think of one credible reason for them to be searching for your picture. Let us suppose that you are a very vocal member of " the opposition " who pops up from time to time at official functions such as media announcements or information sharing events like seminars. let us also suppose that you tend to have all the " wrong " questions or comments which tend to put into question everything they have just spoon-fed the mediawhores who are too vaccuous to question authority without being prompted. By getting your face they are able to spot you trying to register, walk in, sneak in the side door and cut you off at the pass so when they present their latest stone tablets all will go swimmingly. Guest guest
They can bring it. LOL I have calls & emails into our local media...if we're all doing this, we get great coverage all around the country. I am going to request that I get a chance to respond to anything the other side has to say. What happened to yesterday on CNN brought that to mind for sure. > > > Well, I can think of one credible reason for them to > be searching for your picture. > > Let us suppose that you are a very vocal member of > " the opposition " who pops up from time to time at > official functions such as media announcements or > information sharing events like seminars. let us also > suppose that you tend to have all the " wrong " > questions or comments which tend to put into question > everything they have just spoon-fed the mediawhores > who are too vaccuous to question authority without > being prompted. > > By getting your face they are able to spot you trying > to register, walk in, sneak in the side door and cut > you off at the pass so when they present their latest > stone tablets all will go swimmingly. > > They're baaaack > Posted by: " Elsass " elsass@... > celsass1 > Thu Mar 6, 2008 1:11 pm (PST) > Wild...so trying it out myself it looks like they did > a google image > search for my picture. Guest guest
I think it's open for all to see, but before I make a post about it, can one of you try this? Go to www.naaconference.blogspot.com. Go down to the bottom and click on sitemeter. Then go to recent visitors " by details " on the left. Scroll down to #20. Can anyone do that? I think so, because I did it from my husband's work computer yesterday. See if this link will take you right to it, though: http://www.sitemeter.com/a=stats & s=s34celsass & v=91 & r=9 & vlr=8 & pg=1 & d=37 BTW, I got an error message ewhen I tried to send that note to the CDC. I've tried 5 or 6 times and I get this: SEND IT! by Webs Unlimited sendit.exe: Error 6 FAILED_TO_CONNECT - 10061 Poo. > > > > My buddies came back to visit me today and read my sweet welcome > note.
