Just saw the CNN Intl interview with Kirby re the conceded case

(it was on around 1215ET...in the past half hour at least CNN has not

publicized that they will or shown any footage from the family's press

conference taking place this morning in Atlanta.

Went well except for the two main points from CNN that were highlighted

that are still debatable, as we all know too well: 1) that studies prove

there is no link between vaccine and autism (without stating which ones

they are referring to and certainly not mentioning the ones that do show

a link and 2) that thimerosal has not been in vaccines since 2001

(their words, not mine).

Point one was shown as a list of facts scrolled on screen and they

announced them one by one...the other statements listed seemed ok and

accurate as we know them.

was able to say point number 2 was not true because they directed

a question to him about that...but was only able to get in that they

stopped making vaccines with thimerosal in 2001 but that the shelf life

for those made back then was several years...didn't get an opportunity

to mention the thimerosal still in some vaccines.

did a very nice job being able to explain and keep the discussion

focused more globally on mitochondrial disease/disorder/etc and how

infection or disease, not just vaccines can trigger a problem. He

really showed how knowledgeable he is and that he has done his reporting

homework.
