What is the truth about mercury in vaccines? The Washington Post has

an editorial today that says that since 2001, no vaccines have

been " manufactured " with mercury.

1. What is the real date mercury was removed from childhood vaccines?

2. Are vaccines " manufactured " without mercury, or are they

manufactured WITH mercury, and the mercury removed after - leaving the

infamous " trace amounts? "

Then of course there is the " old stock " issue...

The most truthful answer you can give is:

The vaccine companies agreed to begin producing

thimerosal-free vaccines in 2001 as far as using

thimerosal as a preservative. Since they refuse to

tell us how long the production cycle is or how many

doses are in each lot (proprietary) we have no idea

really WHEN the reformulated vaccines actually hit the

shelves in clinics, hospitals and doctor's offices.

Thimerosal IS still used in the manufacturing process

as a fixing agent, and then filtered out after that

phase of production is finished. To what degree

thimerosal is filtered out is unknown, and to what

degree there is variance in success of filtration is

also unknown. Some of the thimerosal does remain in

the vaccines, and those vaccines are listed as

containing a " trace " although the label of the vial

itself may indeed say thimerosal free or otherwise

fail to list it.

Thimerosal is still in one of the DTwP's and one of

the Hep B's, in several of the TT's, Td's, and Dt's,

and most of the flu vaccines as a preservative. Many

of these shots WILL be used in the pediatric

population depending upon the ready supply in any one

office's storage freezer when a patient comes in who

needs the shots.

What needs to happen, and what a GOOD newsman should

do, is put the claims of thimerosal free to the test.

My suggestion would be to go into local health depts.,

birthing centers and pediatrician's offices and spot

sample the DTaP, IPV, Hep B and HiB and have them

tested (blind) for heavy metals. e interesting to see

what came back.
