aka Superman, I know that you and I haven't really talked much, but

you are great! My name is Patti and I am not sure if I had introduced myself

yet, but I always read your posts and even though they aren't directed to me

it really makes me smile, not that I need help with that, but yea! AWESOME!

Keep up the high hopes!

Hi , my name is Patti and I just wanted to say hi. I just like to say hello

to people that I haven't spoken with really. I was diagnosed back in October and

I fully agree with you on success stories. I too seem to be doing very good and

sometimes I get scared to post on here for reasons that I am unsure of. I always

feel like I am bragging, but you just post away. Thats awesome and I hope

that one day I can as active as you!

Hi Superman,

I don't post that often, but I do read many of the posts to keep myself

updated on all the different things people have to deal with when they have

Stills. I was diagnosed a year ago and I too feel very hopeful when I read

your posts. I usually tell my mother, " Listen to what the military guy can

do and he was diagnosed not too long ago! " And like someone else mentioned,

it's helpful to hear your exercise advice. Anyway, I too was shocked that

someone would feel bad to hear your progress. To me that makes no sense

(someone that really feels bad about themself maybe). Hope you continue to

post. Take care and I hope you continue to make progress........

Liz,

Thats great. When I first started back I began just walking, and doing

some swimming as well. Very good cardio and saving the joints at the same

time. I would also focus on your flexibility as well as strength training.

It may sound crazy, but when you are well enough even just two days a week

will benefit you. But in the beginning, take it slow. If you think you are

taking it slow, well go just a bit slower. Nothing is worse for the body

and the mind then going too intense in the beginning. If you need advice,

or a training schedeule, or plan...questions about diet, etc...you know

where to reach me.

Liz,

Thats great, 1 mile in 45min for a walk (good pace). Good idea getting

the ketone strips!

Remeber, fitness is a lifetime journey...there is no rush to increase

intensity, or duration. Ease into, enjoy the process and the result will

come on there own...I'm proud of you and looking forwad to your updates...

I agree with Liz. You are super motivated so you just might be one step ahead of the dragon from now on. Also, every Stilligan is different. I would have flares if I did too much. My husband would be yelling at me to slow down....the house didn't need cleaning....the yard didn't need weeding...etc. but I wouldn't listen. It just felt so good to be able to be doing things again. So, I don't know if I would be attacked from over working or stress. Did your cheeks, and I mean the ones on your face, ever get red or splotchy? I would look in the mirror at times and notice that mine were. I think I used to have that butterfly rash but don't anymore. I just wonder if this MTX plus Enbrel is really helping? Seems like it's doing the trick. If I could only start decreasing the MTX.

I think I can "color you fixed". Good going!

I hope its gone, but I am on the alert. I never got blothes or anything on

my face. The very first symptom I got was joint pain in my kness. The rash

didn't start till 3 days later, with the fevers and the rest of it. I guess

I'll pay attention to my joints and see if they start to hurt (more then

normal that is).

I don't know what started it all for me either, but I do know the exact

moment it began (13 December 2002 at 0730am) I Think this december 13th

I'll sleep a little later...maybe :-)

I'm sure you'll evetually get to taper off the MTX...I'm pulling for you
