Guest guest
U.S. courts have ruled in favor of a family that suspects the child's symptoms were caused by a vaccine the child received. All of this is true. However, what the press wants you to think is that this is a concession by the United States that there is a link between autism and vaccines. This is false. First of all, the child was found to have autism-like symptoms, she was never diagnosed with autism. She also had a rare genetic, mitochondrial deficiency. Her symptoms were linked to the vaccine because, according to a time-line of symptoms, the vaccine may have exacerbated or exemplified her already underlying disease. This led to her to have autism-like symptoms. However, more than 5,000 people are now about to sue the government, claiming that vaccines caused their child's autism. The funny thing is, this " test case " was settled. If the lawyers of this case thought they had a class-action lawsuit in the wake with this case, they never would have settled. They would have forced a court ruling, in hopes to make a case for the other thousands of people. The government has set up this fund to reward people who actually get injured by vaccines. They have done this to protect you, because for all those people who hate for their children to get vaccines, they know that if the vaccine causes harm to their child, they will be compensated. However, rarely does the vaccine cause harm, in this case, it was not proved to be the cause, it just was possible, and therefore the case was settled. In no way has there been a link to vaccines and autism. Sorry. http://rxnews.wordpress.com/2008/03/17/vaccine-and-autism-link-in-courtnot/
Guest guest
" " all those people who hate for their children to get vaccines, they know that if the vaccine causes harm to their child, they will be compensated. --- " " What monetary compensation makes up for the destruction of a healthy life?? How can money give back a child his/her mind?? How can money cure chronic immune system dysfunction? Chronic diarrhea or constipation? How can money make up for life threatening asthma attacks?? How can money make up for the loss of self? The inability to communicate? How can money soothe the ache in a parents heart? The grief of a child lost? First of all, they don't acknowledge the true numbers of vaccine injured children. There are hundreds of thousands of families in great financial distress because of vaccine damage to their children. Every one of those families would probably trade all of their material goods just to have a healthy child who will grow up to have a normal life. Money after the damage is done is no good. The focus should be on making vaccines safe for all. Then we won't need a vaccine court. I would give anything if I could make my child healthy again. > > U.S. courts have ruled in favor of a family that suspects the child's > symptoms were caused by a vaccine the child received. Guest guest
After reading Dr. Poling's comments regarding his daughter's condition, you might wish to reconsider some of your statements. They are not accurate. DR. JON POLING TO DR. STEVEN NOVELLA ON AGE OF AUTISM 03/11/2008 http://www.ageofautism.com/2008/03/dr-jon-poling-o.html Please note Dr. Poling's comments regarding genetic mutation. Remember, Hannah's mother does not have autism. 2. Mito Genetic Finding? Mito mtDNA `red herring' ? ADDITIONAL GENETIC TESTING NOT AVAILABLE IN THE J CHILD NEUROL CASE REPORT: Dr. Shoffner performed genetic testing on both Hannah's muscle and her mother's leukocytes subsequent to our case report. Hannah (muscle mtDNA) and her mother (leukocyte mtDNA) were both found to be HOMOPLASMIC for the mtDNA T2387C transition mutation. Our analysis of this genetic finding in the mtDNA was significantly different than those of other physicians that I've seen in scientific blogs or commentary. I suspect it would have been fatal to both Hannah and her mother if this homoplasmic mutation was pathogenic since (as I am sure you are aware) the mutation is on the 16S ribosomal subunit which is highly conserved. Thus, this mutation probably represents a benign polymorphism rather than pathogenic mutation. It is unlikely, but possible, that the mutation is significant to Hannah, but in such a case, it must work in concert with other nuclear genes to cause her mitochondrial dysfunction. To our knowledge, this point mutation has not been reported in cases similar to Hannah's. Also, Dr. Poling published a paper regarding his daughter's condition in the Journal of Child Neurology in 2006. Note the title: Developmental regression and mitochondrial dysfunction in a child with autism. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16566887?ordinalpos=1 & itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum The government did not settle the Poling case - they conceded it. There is a difference. Settlev. to resolve a lawsuit without a final court judgment by negotiation between the parties, usually with the assistance of attorneys and/or insurance adjusters, and sometimes prodding by a judge. Most legal disputes are settled prior to trial. http://dictionary.law.com/ -- Concede 1. to acknowledge as true, just, or proper; admit: He finally conceded that she was right. 2. to acknowledge (an opponent's victory, score, etc.) before it is officially established: to concede an election before all the votes are counted. 3. to grant as a right or privilege; yield: to concede a longer vacation for all employees. –verb (used without object) 4. to make concession; yield; admit: She was so persistent that I conceded at last. - v. tr. To acknowledge, often reluctantly, as being true, just, or proper; admit. See Synonyms at acknowledge. Guest guest
I hope people understand that angndon1994 didn't actually write the words to this post. Click on the link at the bottom of this first post in the thread: this post is a cut and paste of a statement left on the Pharmacy News site by someone else. I assume that posting this here was an invitation for people to leave responses at the site. It may be that the responses to angndon actually were left at the site and I'm mistaken. What a fiery crew we have here. Keep it up folks (but aim it right). :-D > > U.S. courts have ruled in favor of a family that suspects the child's > symptoms were caused by a vaccine the child received. All of this is > true. Guest guest
Someone shared in class the other day that at our local Children's Hospital about half the premies at any given time have family constantly surrounding and advocating for them, the other half are essentially abandoned. Evidently, though most of us here cannot comprehend, there is a significant segment of society who deem children as less than human. Perhaps those types of people are the ones running the vaccine program and created " compensation " for " damaged " children. Debi
Guest guest
My apologies to angndon1994. I didn't follow the link provided. (I rarely do when the information provided is so obviously inaccurate and biased.) To avoid confusion in the future, might I suggest we clearly indicate when we're quoting others. Again, I apologize to angndon1994 for jumping to conclusions. > > I hope people understand that angndon1994 didn't actually write the > words to this post.
