Guest guest
Or fever being one of the things that occurs before the regression –has left me wanting to say something, but not sure how to say it. We should be focusing on the fact that there is an immune response. Fever is a wonderful and necessary immune response, it makes leukocytes move faster and is ABSOLUTELY necessary in survival of infections. Of course there is a fever… vaccines can screw the immune system, lead to an immune response, which involves a fever… Illnesses of any kind SHOULD bring on a fever. I guess my worry is we are going to focus on that word too closely and people are going to panic when their kids get fevers and pump them full of MORE anti-inflammatory medicines –more, if that is possible. We over medicate fever in this country –many others I am sure. Western medicine does our kids no favors. The last thing you should give your child when they have a fever, is something to take it away. You should snuggle them in a blanket and help them get as warm as they can. I think back to a fever Gavin had after one round of vaccines… it was very close to 106 (which I later learned that a fever that high is a sign of poisoning, hmm ponder that). I did the worse thing I could do for him, b/c I didn’t know any better --and you know what, maybe its not the illness or the fever that is the problem, BUT how we interrupt nature and actually do more damage to our kids by “treating” fevers. The medical establishment had me convinced that I needed to rotate a schedule of Tylenol and motrin for Gavin, even still his fever only came down to 105.6 SO WHAT DID THEY DO NEXT??? Wrapped him in wet towels and put a fan on him. I want to puke when I look back at this now. And I am shocked we didn’t kill him honestly. I guess my point is, fevers should not be feared and people need to know this. Fear of a fever causing autism should not be the issue, and I doubt it is the issue. I think it’s a coincidental finding b/c we are talking about an immune system response coming before the autism OR/AND maybe, the way we treat fevers in this country might make the child more susceptible to damage. .
