rather obscure to gather information on this….is this a new procedure

never before done???

No, they've been doing this procedure for at least three years

because my doctor first offered it to me when I was there three years

ago. When I was there in April of this year he said that they first

started doing the interposition arthroplasty on elbows. But because

of the dramatic improvements they were seeing, they applied doing the

same procedure for hips.

I will be getting my elbows done as well at a future date. He said

the elbow surgery is not as risky because there aren't any major

arteries around the elbow joints like there are in the hips.

I called my doctor's office the other day and they are going to be

sending me something in the mail soon that explains the surgery. So

I'll post whatever I get if you're interested.
