The children “on the spec” are about to be heard!!

I find myself continually envisioning the march in DC when we will

finally be heard. It reminds me of the day the folks in Whoville came

together shouting to be heard in the story " Horton hears a who " .

Is it coincidence that Jim Carrey is helping to lead this march?

On June 4th parents will gather in Washington DC in an effort to help

our children " on the autism SPECtrum " be heard. Just like Horton the

Elephant, our efforts have earned nothing but ridicule from those

accusing us of putting ridiculous ideas in the heads of others. But

just like Horton, we refuse to be silenced for believing in something

that others are unable to see. Instead we will follow Horton's lead

and help all the little voices on the spec be heard. That day all the

little voices will be shouting in unison " we are here, " we are here "

until the message is loud enough for the whole world to hear that a

person's a person no matter how small.
