Guest guest
Hi Luci, I really only use " butter " on pasta and maybe 2 or 3 other things for breakfast, not very often. When I do, it's that " I can't believe it's not butter " stuff. Is this better to use? I also have a thing for Cheescake flavored Philidelphia Cream Cheese and Apples. Makes a good snack for me, although when I mention it people seem to cringe at the cream cheese part. I dunno, I've always like weird combinations of things..lol.. Thanks for the tips everyone, Leo >From: " Lucinda " <lucihs@...> > >Just a couple of things to add to Elena's post: >Butter is healthier for you than margarine because of the hydrolyzed oils >in >margarine, so if you want something on your toast, use butter, but not too >much. " Just try to keep them to a minimum (once a day?). I have learned to use jam (on bagels, ... ) or salsa or barbecue sauce or a little olive oil (on potatoes, rice, or vegetables) or tomato sauce (on pasta, instead of a white sauce or butter based sauce). I've gotten so used to non-fat (or " good fat, " e.g., olive oil) substitutes, that I don't miss the " bad " fat in the above things. Try it and see if you like it. Guest guest
Leo, That vitamin (was it ... K?) isn't in the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter stuff, so I don't use it, but I'm sort of a natural foods nut anyway. That is I like natural foods and think they are best, but I don't always eat what I think I should. That cream cheese & apples stuff sounds really good and healthy. I 'll have to try that.
