LOL no actually I was on a list a long time ago for people with age gap in their relationships (Mike is 44 and I am 26) and the owner just contacted a bunch of us from the list and asked if any of us want to go and be on a special TV taping with Dr. Joy Browne. I just sent her my phone number so the producer can call with the details..oh and the trip is all expences paid too! >> hey , someone I know was a guest on her show and had a ball. They furnished everything.... transportation, dinners out, even sightseeing Barb who is on the other side of the Hudson

Well or anyone else who went to the live tapings in LA? who is glad she lost some weight so she looks better on TV but knows that you still look 10 pounds heavier, or is that a myth? LOL >> Unfortunatly it is true that the camera CAN make you look heavier. I don't know what the set of the show is like but they might ask you not to wear the color blue as that is often used for chromokeys. Try to stick with a dark (yet complimentary) solid suit/shirt and your most flattering neckline style. As far as not being nervous when talking on camera......before you go on the air breathe very slowly exhale in and out....take a few moments to yourself if possible. Most importantly....start visualizing yourself now getting on their and kicking serious butt or doing an excellent job and wowing people....however you want to put it. Before I have to make public statements or interview a candidate I think about what I want to say the wording etc. ....I try several variations..if its suppose to be impromtu I still do that but I don't commit it to memory. That way I sound confident, erudite, well spoken, but not rehersed. If you feel nervous great...thats NORMAL...the difference between good public speakers and bad ones are the good ones use nervousness to their advantage. Kepp on your toes keep energized and stay focused on being your best. If you have the image in your mind of you accomplishing something in the manner you want to accomplish it you WILL! If all you think about is flubbing up....you will. I know it simple advice , but nothing is more true. Hope this helps!!!!!!! Guest guest
Thanks for the advice !! I have been on TV before (twice) news stories in Florida and I think I did good, but I have never actually been on a talk show for an hour. I am sure it is just about the same execept that we will be really conversing with the Dr. LOL Incidentally Mike and I were talking yesterday about politics and I said yeah, says she interviews (and other things) the Texas. State Rep. guy. I said.. Isn't that that other guy's son? LOL He said yeah! I aid ....ohhhhhh....and thenI have to agree with someone else who said on the list earlier.. " go gore! " LOL DOn't want to get into a big political debate here though..so I will be quiet now!
