Unusual and Unexplained bruises

Hello,

I've been having these dark spots appear on my arms lately, they seem

to show up spontaneously, often start as a small blood dot and the dark

area around it grows in size in a matter of hours. I've spoken to my

primary care doctor (who is an HIV specialist) and he does not have an

explanation other than to refer me to a dermatologist. I thought

perhaps it could be medication related and he didn't think that was the

case (I'm on Truvada, Reyataz, Norvir). I've spoken to the

dermatologist about it several times, and each time he says they are

bruises. They don't look like any other bruises I've had before, and

we have ruled out KS. The spots do heal after a few weeks.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar, or have thoughts on what

might be happening?
