Hi Lana....and welcome!!!!! Although you should see your PCP, he should

refer you to a specialist for this disease. Where are you from? I see

my specialist about every 3 months, and he is wonderful! I hope that

you feel better soon....sherri

Hello, Lena:

Welcome to the group! You asked for advice, and I can pass along what works

for me. Take it one day at a time, Lena. I have enough to take care of

each day without worrying about down-the-road possibilities.

You have your plate full already with depression issues, and hopefully, you

may not have arthritis at all. I am 68 years old, and it has been my

experience that my very best worrying was done over things that never even

happened, or if they did, were easily handled.

Keep us posted on your feelings and you will be met with interest,

understanding and genuine sympathy. I know this because I've read almost

every posting since I joined, and many in this group have had a lot of

experience with this disease (much more than I have) and all of the

accompanying problems.

My best wishes, Lena.

Betty

Hi Lana,

Welcome to the group! I had similar problems with my symptoms started in

September 1999. My best advice to you is to be strong -- you know you

haven't been feeling well so speak up! My symptoms started with headaches &

neckaches. I was at college & the campus clinic & local doctors had some

reasonably explanation for my pain. They attributed my jaw aches to my

wisdom teeth, headaches to stress, wrist/arm to Carpal Tunnel & leg/hip to

muscle spasms. Over several weeks, I lost the use of the left side of my

body. One doctor blamed my birth control pills -- that they had caused a

blood clot b/c taking them was " unnatural. " Another sad I had mono, even

though my symptoms had nothing to do with that.

This isn't meant to scare or stress you out more than you already are.

Just some bits of advice from someone who has been there. Good luck.

Take care,

Steph
