DIET WITHOUT FEELING HUNGRYResearchers claim high-protein, low-carb eating is best short-term weight loss solution

Simply hearing the word "diet" is usually enough to make a man's stomach growl, but ish researchers say that dieting doesn't have to mean going hungry.

Guys that use a high-protein, low-carb diet don't feel as hungry as other dieters and thus automatically control their food intake, according to a paper published this month in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

"Our [14 obese] volunteers found both diets to be equally palatable, but they felt less hungry on the high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet compared with the diet which contained high-protein but moderate amounts of carbohydrate," said Dr. stone, the Rowett Institute researcher who led the study.

The findings support the message that Men's Health Fitness Director Adam has been hammering for years that carbs, not fat, are the dietary demon making us obese and causing diabetes.
