Guest guest
We used a lot of antifungals and rotated them. Grapefruit seed extract, Uva Ursi, Diflucan, Yeast aid, etc. are all options. To be quite honest, we got a late start on this part and had a rough time keeping yeast under control. When you chelate and do antivirals without antifungals in place, beware! I like Stan's idea of Diflucan if you can get it compounded without the sugar. You may need to ask around. My wife rotated them. Every kid is different, what works for one, may not be what works for another. As far as the difference in Valtrex and OLE, Stan and I talked about this at the DAN! and we just do not know yet. We are hoping to gather data from this group. Since Stan started with Valtrex, he is going to try OLE, and I am going to try Valtrex on my son this summer to see if anything else emerges. It should be interesting. You definitely need to use antifungals though! > > wondering if your protocal with the OLE included any yeast aids or > anti yeast prescrips or naturals in conjunction with, post, or prior > to treatments? just curious as to if it has the same effectiveness as > valtrex when used together or is OLE doing something different than > valtrex? therefore not needing the diflucan to aid in whatever it is > that makes those 2 things work so well in some. your insight and > knowledge greatly appreciated!! >

Guest guest
This is a tough one. I always tell people that no one knows their child like the parents do. I think that Stan my ahve some better answers on the Difluacn question. I have only done one round of it, where his experience was pretty consistent. If it were me, I would go with my gut instincts, and do some trial and error. We have always had to rotate fungals, and we still are not sure what has worked the best since we do it this way. >hi again scott i am just debating the use of the diflucan only for > its benefits on the glutathione or other pathway processes it may be > helping, not for yeast. stan and i have talked a bit about this son > of mine who is now on valtrex as he is recovered but i would say he > has 2% to go and maybe the valtrex will be the thing that brings > resolve to his remaining issues. he is not yeasty and has not been > for over 5 years and was not through all his other treatments, ALA > chelation, high vitA, diet, supplements/minerals.why? we are not > sure, could be the aloe vera he drinks or he was on the diet quite > young 14 months and he also had severe reflux so maybe the proteins > or fewer of them that are so detrimental to these kids never made it > to his GI tract causing less damage. so anyway for us the diflucan > needs to have a purpose other than for fungal/yeast, if the two are > working together somehow i would not want to be on the valtrex > alone, missing out on those benefits. stan says do it anyway but > without experience on dosing for him would a lower level have the > same effects as higher doses for kids treating yeast? or another > thought is would the natural treatments be as effective? i hate the > thought of giving him something he doesnt need either so it is quite > a contemplation for me right now. if it was you what would you do? i > am leaning to finishing the month of valtrex alone and maybe one > more month after that and then depending on results to then add in > the other products either natural or prescrip one then the other if > need be and trial the two together to see the difference for > myself.again any insight would be so appreciated, thanks > > > >
