Try going to a chiropractor. They have really helped me and my pain.

Hi, my name is Joni and I was just recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in January of this year (Happy 2003!!) : ( At 2 a.m. on Good Friday morning, I had a terrible pain in my left hip that made moving, lying down, sitting, and all other positions frighteningly painful. It lasted through most of the next day, but at least by Friday evening I was able to move a little bit better. This is the second time this has happened, but the first was nowhere near as bad. I'm not sure if this is the type of pain you're describing, but if so, I can definitely sympathize. I've just had to wait mine out, but I think if it lasted any longer than two days for me I would be calling my rheumy. Wish I had some advice to offer, but I haven't found a solution yet. Good luck to you and God bless!
