" like " What are some things you do with a ball? " as you would a single component question? ie By showing the child all the different actions you can do with a ball (eg with all the different picture cards on the table) and fading the pictures? " Actually, this was a pretty fun one to teach. We started with " bed " . Th: What can you do in bed? And then waited for his answer - the standard " you sleep in it " ... We responded with " yes, and now my turn... I say you can CRAWL on it! " Then prompted him to say " I can JUMP on it! " (lots of jumps and laughing) " I can FALL off it! " " I can go UNDER it! " etc. The sillier, the better. I think next we moved onto ball, with the same type progression, from the mundane to the positively silly. Great fun for all of us!
