Friday I had my liver biopsy and it was so much more comfortable than

the one I had 21 years ago.I also was tested for genotype and viral

load in my blood.So---I should find out what I'm up against this week

from the Hepatologist.

I'll post again later this week,I will want to know answers to

questions I may have.

Since I'm facing the prospect of a biopsy, can you please tell me why you

thought this recent one was so much more comfortable? Was it done in a

different manner than the previous one? Thanks.

Well 21 years ago they didn't give you any pain medication before

the procedure, and it hurt. This time they did it after pain meds were

in effect and I didn't feel any discomfort.Only about 10 minutes

later I had some discomfort and got an immediate pain med. This whole

deal is no more painful than a visit to the dentist, all you feel are

a couple of needle sticks.
