Guest guest
Hi Nastasa, I've never heard of a child react poorly to Valtrex because of a Brewer's Yeast issue. Free thinking for a moment, I suspect that when an antiviral is put in place in our kids (at least the ones who respond to it) we will often see a fungal and possibly a bacterial flare... That said, if the gut ends up producing more yeast and the yeast has a similar protein to Brewer's yeast and there is an antibody to it... then you could see a transient issue. But, the core issue that the Valtrex is working could be the cause of a persistent yeast problem for which the antibody was created, meaning you may have to get through the issue to fix it, rather than avoid it. I think people may be reading the symptom wrong and avoiding it, rather than seeing it as part of the healing process. Some doctors are said to use some low dose steroids (5mg of prednisone for example) during the first few weeks to reduce a potential immune system autoimmune response for some patients. I'm not specifically suggesting that since I have no personal experience, but maybe for some who are IGG sensitive to yeast it might make sense to consider. - Stan > > Hi Stan and everyone, > > just heard someone say that there could be a problem with this product > for persons with raised Brewer's Yeast antibodies. > > Stan, you mentioned that for some strange reason lots of ASD population > appears to have those. > > I am mistified! > > This is a product that claims to have many of exactly those properties > that lots of our kids could benefit from... > > Is this a coincidence? > > Natasa >

Guest guest
Thanks for the explanation, however I did not mean to refer to Valtrex or fungal flares but to brewer's yeast antibodies in particular, as this new product consists of twice fermented brewer's yeast. Guest guest
Oh! Sorry. I now realize you're talking about Epicor. - Stan > > > > > > Hi Stan and everyone, > > > > > > just heard someone say that there could be a problem with this > > product > > > for persons with raised Brewer's Yeast antibodies. > > > > > > Stan, you mentioned that for some strange reason lots of ASD > > population > > > appears to have those. > > > > > > I am mistified! > > > > > > This is a product that claims to have many of exactly those > > properties > > > that lots of our kids could benefit from... > > > > > > Is this a coincidence? > > > > > > Natasa > > > > > >
