Guest guest
I am 31yrs old & live in Colorado. I have a 9yr old daughter that has mild Aspergers & SID. She takes Trileptal & Celexa which helps tremendously. She is very difficult to deal with before she started taking them. I also have another daughter 6yrs old that has very mild SID but no autism. I have always known that she was different. The pediatrician always told me don't worry about it. She rarely smiled, screamed when in contact with grass, & wouldn't play with her sandbox. She would always sit there and watch me play but never participated. She would line up her matchbox cars grouped by color but never really played. Mostly she liked movies and the computer. When we got her a LiteBrite she freaked out because all the pegs were in the bag with the colors all mixed up. I had to get her a craft box to sort them. When she gets a toy play set of some sort she has to set it up just like the picture shows on the back of the box. If a piece goes missing then the whole thing is garbage because it's incomplete. When she played with blocks they could only stack on their own color. As for now she doesn't play with Barbies, she'll dress them & then put them back. She reads, plays video & computer games, plays outside, and does puzzle books. She also likes TV. I bought her all the game systems because that is all she does. Her favorite game is the Sims. She has been playing that one since she was 4. Anyway that is my story.
