Guest guest
My tough nut Nonresponder son has made a BIG leap in development in just a couple of days. We’re about halfway through a month’s worth of Diflucan. However, the latest addition to his regimen has been lithium orotate capsules from Vital Nutrients. Has anyone seen anything similar with lithium supplementation? Thanks, Pamela " Courage is doing what you're afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you're scared. Guest guest
Wow Pamela can you tell me more, like why you decided lethium would be useful, etc and how much your child is using etc etc. That is great, congratulations thanks lithium experience? Guest guest
Pamela, My son's lithium also was so low that it didn't register. At the time, I had a hard time finding it. It is in MinerAll and his DAN wanted him on that anyway, so he started taking it but the lithium was only 1/3rd the dose she wanted him at. Now I see that it's readily available and I am thinking of supplementing it more. My son used to break down in tears often, for no apparent reason. This all but stopped once he started on the MinerAll. Guest guest
I’m not sure 100% sure the lithium is to be given credit for my son’s very big developmental gains in just few days. He is also halfway through a Diflucan run. We are also using the Cutler ALA only chelation protocol. Our son really keeps us guessing! Anyway, I decided to try Lithium on my son because I had heard some good things about it. I was watching a DAN! presentation from the Long Beach Conference and one of the speakers discussed it briefly. I’m sorry….. At the moment I can’t recall who the speaker was. All of these presentations are available to watch for free online at www.danwebcast.com Basically, lithium is an essential element. You can test for it. Almost all ASD kids are low in it……. as are their mothers. We have not tested for it. I went on the assumption that he is low. Payne of Living Well Today explained that it can help stabilize moods and even our kids out. He suggested starting with 5mg and working up slowly from there. My son had 10mg for the last couple of days. I bought a bottle of 5 mg capsules. We have learned to temper our enthusiasm with our son because so often his gains don’t stick. He is Mr. Teflon. Guest guest
I'll have to look back in our labs to see which one it was. I think it was either urine toxic metals or some bloodwork we did 6 wks after a round of chelation.
