Guest guest
I dont know whats wrong with my computer but it wont let me " reply " to messages so I have to start a complete new message, however,, You are right Jt, it DOESNT matter where one got this disease and I think its horrible for any " one group " to bear the brunt of the finger pointing about how Hep C is spread. You are right in that many veterans were given Hep C right along with their shots via the air gun.. you will play hell getting the government to admit it tho but WE ALL KNOW! I also agree with you that its horrible if the your doc puts in your permanent records if you ever used IV drugs because that alone will keep you from getting good PAIN CONTROL while on tx because the docs are afraid you 'might' get addicted is totally unfair.. The bottom line is that there are so many ways to get this disease and there might be even ways we havent identified yet too. But the fact is that a huge majority of those with hep c do have risky behaviors in their past altho I still say its really unfair to label them that way. Hep C is NOT a difficult virus to spread,, HIV IS.. but not hep c. Why that is, I dont know but the stats show that hep c is pretty easy to spread, even things as small as having a manicure or pedicure where you accidently get a nick in your hands or feet that can be so small as to not see with the naked eye,, and then transferred to another person.. its really not all that hard to spread.. But I also believe that the " stigma " associated with HEP C really gets my dander up.. The bottom line is that IF you have HEP C,, it doesnt really matter HOW you got it but you have to be careful not to spread it further and to deny how its spread because of the stigma is wrong too.. Thanks for your input! We appreciate when all here put in what they think,, thats what this place is here for.. jax
