I've been fortunate in not having any bad side effects from Methotrexate (but I also haven't seen any benefit from it). Some people take in on Friday night so they can sleep through some of the side effects and can take it easy on Saturday and Sunday if needed. Good luck and God bless.

Hi ,

I've been on MTX for about 5 months. The side effects I have are:

thinning of hair (when, I added folic acid, my hair seemed to have

gotten better), very tired the day after and somewhat tired the day

after that (so I take MTX Friday nights), and occasional mouth sores.

I haven't felt any noticeable benefits from MTX.

I started Humira about 3 weeks ago and it has helped. Seemingly,

the current practice is to try various medications until something

finally works. I hope it works out well with you.
