Guest guest
Hello all. We just got our sons viral tests back, here is what we show. I'm wondering what to do now... EBV VCA: 1692 ref range 0-99 neg, 100-120 eq, >120 positive EBV NA: 590 ref range 0-99 neg, 100-120 eq, >120 positive rubeola: 2.02 ref range 0-.9, >1.10 positive mumps: 3.01 ref range 0-.9, >1.10 positive CMV: 2.40 ref range 0-.9, >1.0 positive So, what does this all mean? those EBV numbers really blew me out of the water, would that indicate a current (and apparently massive) infection? Man... I guess valtrex city, here we come! then do I follow that with Vitamin A for the rubeola? Or do I do high dose vitamin A first, then valtrex later? I thought I had it all figured out - rubeola I would do vitamin A, anything else valtrex, I wasn't expecting so see so much in the positive range. Is the rubeola number abnormally high, or just showing he has immunity to it? I am pondering trying to find a DAN for viral, as our DAN isn't very open to all this from what I have heard from other patients. I can get valtrex from another doctor (who is covered by my insurance) no problem, but he is not a DAN (just our FP) and doesn't know much of anything about all this, he just does what I ask as long as I agree to be liable for my requests and I'm not asking for anything crazy. right now he writes scripts for DMSA for me and does the labs I request when I request them. As long as we dump metals and have normal CBC/CMP labs, he is ok with it all. Anyone have any input or advice? Thanks so much...
