Although I am new to this list, I would like to add that I agree with Mark, I

think it is great to read posts from people who have a very specific encounter

or

anecdote about your autistic spectrum child's programs and government- whether

it is Bush or Gore or The Queen of England, but to respond purely on a partisan

level

to such an anecdote seems to be getting way off the topic. There are hundreds of

other Forums where you can discuss NRA and tobacco farms etc. Can we please

have

this island in the storm of the current polictical debate?

I wish we would not go down that slippery slope of turning this board into

a venue for partisan political bickering. This board is for helping each other

deal with the realities of autism in our families. To help, encourage and pass

along information, including government subsidy info at times. We are in an

epidemic and whoever is elected...will have to deal with its realities. If you

don't like someone...don't vote for them. Its that simple. Just keep partisan

politics out of this venue.
