Guest guest
Hi Listmates, I've been following this recent thread with interest... Could anyone please point me to all the relevant articles in the Verbal Behaviour journals on intraverbals and the impetus behind them? A brief description of each article would also be much appreciated. I hate trawling. (1/9/00) Hi again all, When doing one or two-word intraverbal fill-ins with my little girl, the IMPRESSION is that sporadically they tranform - if that's the right word to use - into spontaneous-like, almost complete sentence tacts. I say spontaneous-like because she still hasn't got very creative with the language she has. It's like a delayed echoic with meaning and some understanding; she has learnt to apply a 'correct' sentence to a situation whenever it comes up, but it's almost always the exact same sentence structurally. To a casual first-time listener, it would sound like she's making brilliant conversation. Though it's all pretty much rote and repetitive.
