Guest guest
Goodmorning Ed ! Sorry to learn about Dawn's illness and situation. I had my wife in the hospital two years ago for a dangerous UTI that had spilled over into her blood system and heart. Fortunately, it did not affect her heart muscle and structure. Prayer WORKS....I know personally. My Men's group at church that meet tonight will offer up a prayer for her. - Houston,Texas ================================================================Ed Gundy <edgundy@...> wrote: I admitted Dawn to ER this afternoon and she was diagnosed with severepneumonia. Guest guest
Ed, I'm so sorry to hear about Dawn's very serious illness. For whatever it's worth, may I offer a suggestion? Please hear me out, because what I'm about to tell you concerns something that was turned into a huge media joke recently, but it's no laughing matter. I'm talking about the so-called "blue man," who had consumed, I think it was, about a quart a day of colloidal silver for decades. First of all, who in their right mind would consume any non-food or -drink substance in such quantities for that period of time, and if they did, how likely would they be to live to tell about it? Anyway, he wound up with blue-gray skin, but what they didn't tell us but I'm absolutely certain of is that he has not suffered any infection during that time. Silver has a track record far longer than anything made by a pharmaceutical company, and its safety record compared to antibiotics? As far as I have been able to determine, the worst it can do is turn your skin blue if you use it as a substitute for drinking water! And from what I understand, there's no possibility of a microbe becoming silver-resistant. Several years ago, post-massive-statin overdose, my immune system was so severely compromised that I had a sinus infection that went on and on and on, despite repeated rounds of various antibiotics. Finally one day in desperation, I asked my husband to go by the health food store and see if they had anything to offer. He came home with a bottle of Sovereign Silver brand colloidal silver. Looked just like plain water to me, but I was willing to try anything at that point. Well, within a day I was marveling at how much better I was feeling, compared to how long it always took for an antibiotic to start making a difference! So I continued to spray it under my tongue several times a day for another day and by then I no longer had any symptoms whatsoever. But in a couple of days my sinuses were trying to get my attention again, so I started the silver treatment again and this time I followed instructions to the letter and used it for a total of four days. And that's all it took to cure my sinuses! Since then, if I ever have even the slightest hint that I might be getting an infection of any kind, I start using the silver and it stops it in its tracks. I haven't had so much as a cold in all that time. I also use it to spray on cuts and scrapes, even in my eye, since it's effective against all microbes: bacterial, viral and fungal. I always keep at least several ounces on hand; don't use it all that often, but I figure in case of bird flu epidemic, MRSA outbreak, whatever, I'm prepared. I can only imagine what most doctors' reactions would be to the suggestion of using silver nowadays. But if Dawn's pneumonia does not respond to antibiotics, what do you have to lose by asking--even insisting--that colloidal silver be tried? I hope by now that regular antibiotics are kicking in, but if not, do consider silver. I hope and pray that she'll recover. And by the way, was right: prayer does work! I know colloidal silver was an answer to mine and I hope it will be for you and others who read this. Guest guest
Hi Gene ... thanks for asking. The latest is she has severe pneumonia in both lungs and she also has sepsis. They are pushing mega doses of antibiotics into her as you may imagine. We both feel there is an underlying issue as well, but because she does not have a primary physician (Dawn has been procrastinating getting a new one since her last ordeal last August with her previous doctor nearly killing her with the bad prescription of Toradol). A cardiologist who my mother in law works with seems to feel that she may have ICVS (inferior vena cava syndrome - something that can pop up from abdominal surgeries) which then can turn into CHF) yet the hospital physician will not do a abdominal CT scan while she is in the hospital because her diagnosis is not heart related. But, she was scheduled to have this CT scan this past Monday which happened to be the day she was admitted into the hospital because an urgent care physician suspected heart issues because of the edema. So ... now she needs to get out of the hospital and reschedule the CT scan and come right back to the same hospital that she is now to have the CT scan performed. Wouldn't it be good to do the CT scan while she is in the hospital just to rule out the ICVS? She had edema one week earlier and one of the symptoms of ICVS is edema. OH... and we at least have an attorney who will now sit down and listen to us about what happened last August when she spent 15 days in ICU because of the bad issuance of a prescription by her previous doctor which ended up nearly killing her. None of the attorneys we spoke to around here wanted to touch this case because she did not die. Surviving those 15 days (which is a miracle in itself based on what everyone at the hospital told us) is not " worthwhile " to attorneys. She now has hypothyroidism due to the shock her body went into having so little volume of blood in her system. She could sleep 20 hours a day if I would let her. She has gained 40 pounds since August being that her metabolism is not at all what it was before the surgery. Her personality has changed which has been noticed by many people we know. Yet ... it seems that attorneys do not believe that there were any damages caused by the neglectful doctor (and staff for the doctor) but if she died that would be proof. In the meantime, you should see the medical bills we have here. But, no damages! > >I admitted Dawn to ER this afternoon and she was diagnosed with severe > >pneumonia. Guest guest
ED, I didn't realize that we already had examples of the "British Healthcare System" in place here in the US. A long time UK friend of mine was treated the same way over the years after finally getting a triple by-pass. He had complications and it was determined that his chest cavity has not been closed properly but they determined THAT should be taken care of by a bone specialist....so he had to get out of the hospital and then check back in the next day and go through the same old song and dance. I just got out of hospital here in Houston, after having my first (and hope only) bout with Pneumonia. I was in for a week, constantly on IVs and Lung mists therapy every 4 hours for 7-days. It was a long slow ordeal, but am back to normal health again. Our "Empty Nesters" church small group will offer up a pray for her this coming Monday nite at our "Small Group Meeting" . God Bless........ !Ed Gundy <edgundy@...> wrote: Hi Gene ... thanks for asking. The latest is she has severe pneumonia in both lungs and she also hassepsis. They are pushing mega doses of antibiotics into her as you may imagine. We both feel there is an underlying issue as well, but because shedoes not have a primary physician (Dawn has been procrastinatinggetting a new one since her last ordeal last August with her previousdoctor nearly killing her with the bad prescription of Toradol).A cardiologist who my mother in law works with seems to feel that shemay have ICVS (inferior vena cava syndrome - something that can pop upfrom abdominal surgeries) which then can turn into CHF) yet thehospital physician will not do a abdominal CT scan while she is in thehospital because her diagnosis is not heart related. But, she was scheduled to have this CT scan this past Monday whichhappened to be the day she was admitted into the hospital because anurgent care physician suspected heart issues because of the edema. So ... now she needs to get out of the hospital and reschedule the CTscan and come right back to the same hospital that she is now to havethe CT scan performed.Wouldn't it be good to do the CT scan while she is in the hospitaljust to rule out the ICVS? Guest guest
My wife Amy had a minor heart attack. She needed a referral from her PCP to see the cardiologist who cathed her in the hospital for a follow up. The system is so broken that I'm starting to agree with Dr Wallach - if you want to live a long life avoid doctors.
