Guest guest
I wanted to tell you that I am so glad to find you. Now maybe I can get some answers. I started taking Welchol in large doses, three 625 MG tabs twice a day for chronic diarrhea of all things. (Since birth) My cholesterol level was 150 and that wasn't even fasting. The HDL and LDL were fine, too. Well, it was great for my problem and I loved it for 6 months or so. My cholesterol level went down to 106 fasting. Then, whammo! My legs started to ache like I was running a marathon every day and I had no idea why. Neither did my doctors. I researched everything I could think of and decided to stop the Welchol on my own. " The problem " came back but the leg aches did not stop. Yuck! Two days ago I decided to try Co Q 10 100 MG daily, and things have improved a little as far as my leg aches go. It's still hard to sleep at night, but they don't hurt as much during the day. I look forward to finding out about research and hearing new ideas. Thanks for being here! Guest guest
Welcome to the group Jan! My name is Bobby. I was stunned at how low your cholesterol was. 150 is very low. 106 is, in my opinion, dangerously low. Now that you have joined this group you may learn some things that may oppose what you have been told by the media. For example: Higher cholesterol levels are associated with longevity while lower cholesterol levels are associated with early mortality. That came as a shocker to me. Everyone here has one thing in common. We were all injured by cholesterol lowering drugs. And the nice thing is, nobody here has anything to sell ya.
