Guest guest
Well done, Counselor! Now if only your voice could be heard even half as loudly as the opposing side's, the outcome would be a slam dunk. Guest guest
We started some filming yesterday, I wasn't too good as my memory/cognitive skills are really shot to pieces. It's not until you start doing something creative that you realise how damaged you are. I am really looking forward to meeting you in September in Weatherford or Fort Worth. Guest guest
Pamela, I'm certainly looking forward to meeting you too! Hey, have you noticed how much of an uproar the American Acedemy of Pediatrics' pronouncement has caused? It looks like the only way the wall of silence can be broken on the statins issue is for, little by little, enough chinks to be pierced to cause that wall to start crumbling. And maybe it's finally happening! The debate it's stirring up on this side of the Atlantic is a very hopeful sign. I hadn't realized until recently how very fortunate I am that although statins wrecked my body, the very first change I noticed after I ditched the poison was that the fog started lifting from my mind. (On the other hand, maybe it's just that I'm now too brain damaged to comprehend how stupid it's left me?!) Even so, I've been statin-free for four years now and I know I'm able to think more clearly now than I could during the first months post-Lipitor. If only the rest of my body would catch up! Whatever amount of CoQ10 you're taking, you might want to increase it substantially. It and zinc are essential to proper brain functioning. If statins actually attacked heart disease with anywhere near the effectiveness that they do our CoQ10 and zinc levels, they might be of at least some value to some patients. Another thing I've been taking that has made quite at difference in my ability to function is glyconutrients. If you're interested in pursuing that, let me know and I can tell you what brand I take. As in most things, there are substantial differences among various brands, and the one I've been on for several months has definitely improved my energy and stamina. Congrats for getting your documentary under way! Has the BBC given you any idea of how long it will be from completion to air time? I, as no doubt everyone else here as well, can hardly wait! pamela sharp <pamela.sharp@...> wrote: We started some filming yesterday, I wasn't too good as my memory/cognitive skills are really shot to pieces. Guest guest
Canada's main newspaper, the Globe and Mail, carried the story today about statins and children. I wrote a letter to the editor. Here it is.How horrifying to read that doctors want to drug children with statins. Many adults have had severe side effects from statins, amnesia, neuropathy and muscle degradation are the bad ones. Now they want to put children on them for life. Where are the clinical studies showing the effectiveness and safety of statins for children? There are none. Ask yourself why is cholesterol in our bodies? Why does the liver manufacture cholesterol? Cholesterol is a vital substance in our bodies, testosterone is made from it, our brains are 50% made up from cholesterol, our nerves are sheathed in myelin made from cholesterol. When you get older people with low cholesterol are more likely to die earlier than those with higher cholesterol. For those who have friends or associates that still beleive in statins and that these drugs will protect them from death from a heart attack, here is a way you can show them that these drugs do not work. You have to show them the BIG picture:Remind them first of medical history. Guest guest
I truly hope that this fanciful notion by these derangued money grabbing aegeds is their downfall and our gain.Every cloud has a silver lining - and this one could be ours!I can't take zinc as it makes me really sick. I drove 45 miles to my boat yesterday where we did a little more filming - and yes I did have neuropathy and fatigue on the return journey - this seems to happen when I am tired., can you recommend a hire company to hire an RV from in September to take a trip to Big Bend for 10days in the Weatherford/Fort Worth area?Pamela Carlisle <nancarl@...> wrote: Pamela, I'm certainly looking forward to meeting you too!
