Guest guest
Ed, that is outrageous, and I disagree it's off topic. It's another example of the FDA not looking out for anyone but Big Pharma. Oh, and Chantix is made by Pfizer, and they are very busy defending it. If there was ever a good time to launch an expose of Lipitor, this would be it, if we only had the resources!Ed Gundy <edgundy@...> wrote: Here is something from ABC news about what has been going on with our vets coming home from Iraq.See it HERE .Ed----- Fight back spam! Guest guest
I only said it was off topic because it does not deal with statins. But I agree with you it is outrageous how the FDA can authorize such a drug to begin with and then it is outrageous for the VA to allow this to be used as a drug to quit smoking after they discovered the side effects and prescribe it to those who have PTSD from the war. It all comes down to the might buck. Pfizer is sure making a bunch of money at the expense of others. We do have the resources! And it is free. If someone can find out the email addresses of all the people in congress who sit on committees who(supposedly) sit above and watch over the FDA and then send them emails, letter or faxes, it may draw attention. If we sent emails to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, FOX etc it may draw their attention also. If we could get the attention of the media on what is going on here and have it exposed there could be a full fledge congressional investigation done by congress. Of course it would be a joke if there was a congressional investigation due to the lobbyists and favors that the pharma cos. have over all those in congress. But, perhaps we could create the exposure so that others across the country who don't know of the ramifications to begin to question what their statins and the government are doing at their expense. Guest guest
Could we not all sign a petition and send it to a USA news paper that's been interested in Statins - just an idea.Pamela Carlisle <nancarl@...> wrote: Ed, that is outrageous, and I disagree it's off topic.
