Guest guest
Has anyone here had a 24 hour salivary cortisol test done? From Pubmed studies I have been reading, I think there is a definite connection between adrenal insufficiency and cardiomyopathy and I would like to hear about any personal feedback from those who have looked into this. Reason for asking is that my father has just failed his driving test. He has cardiomyopthy and is on every NHS drug (beta-blockers, statins, ACe inhibitors, thyroid and gout mediactions as well as permanent antibiotics due to splenectomy) in the palette of the doctors. My mother is now convinced my father has Alzheimers and will probably try for drugs from the NHS. I have done 8 years of research and currently finishing up a masters thesis on the relationship between food and behaviour. I know exactly HOW to bring my father back from the brink but I need to get some tests done to prove to my sister and mother who the absolutely most bloodyminded and stubborn people in the world that something can be done. I am so angry I cannot see straight at the moment. j
