Date: Tue, 01 Jul 2003 16:44:54 -0000 Hi all, Was wondering if anyone has moved from the east coast out to the west coast for a dryer heat thing??? I lived in AZ a while back and it was super awesome for my allergies and asthma, any idea if it would help with RA?? Also.. what of G-forces, as in a RollerCoaster?? Are those bad for folks with RA?? It's killing me, I'm an advid coasterette!!! Thanks, Kerri
Guest guest
I have heard that climate doesn't make that much difference for RA but changes in barometric pressure do cause RA to flare. I have seen nothing on roller coasters but I would expect the same effect as a change in barometric pressure. I guess you could try it and find out but I would suggest starting with a very tame roller coaster. A lot of treatment of RA is trial and error anyway. Too bad it isn't trial and success. Good luck and God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: passion4mastiffs71 Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 9:44 AM Subject: Clean Living in AZ? Guest guest
Kerri, I was diagnosed 10 yrs ago in land. The humidity really made my joints swell and hurt much worse. The icy winters were awful too. We moved to California, and I did well and went into an 8 yr remission. I have no idea if there was a definite correlation or not. But I think there is some validity to it. I have no idea about rollercoasters tho, except they may put strain on joints that aren't normally strained. Guest guest
Sometimes I will do things that I know will end up leaving me in pain for a couple days, but to me it is just worth it for my mental health!
