Guest guest
How about the puritan pride brand or drugstores? What do you look for to be sure the co q 10 is good? Guest guest
I’ve been using “wholehealth” brand Pure Crystalline Pharmaceutical Grade super strength 300 mg 60 capsules (I was taking 2 caps a day for the initial recovery period (the initial 6 months after quitting Lovastatin)… these were fairly expensive at $35.95 a bottle. Now that I seem fully recovered and been off the poison for 6 months I’m switching to Puritan’s Pride 100mg (60 softgels) 5 bottles for $39.78 on sale right now. I’ll probably take 2-3 of the 100 mg gels a day now that I am no longer suffering any symptoms, walking 3 miles a day at full speed without any of the sprains or strains I had been getting and feel 100% better. In other words I’m switching from 600mg a day recovery dosage to 200-300 mg a day maintenance. I take a bunch of other stuff too, including Vitamin E, Fish oil Omega-3’s, lots of different anti-oxidants, Turmeric Curcumin, Hawthorne berries etc. I have lost over 40 pounds in the last 6 months, my blood pressure is down to 110/70, I can handle “stressful situations” much better. My Cholesterol levels are just fine. Guest guest
I really don’t know, make no claims of being a med expert at all. Former long-term hatha yoga instructor and practitioner, (the rehab nurses said this is why I recovered so rapidly from my stroke) though, so I know my body pretty well. I’ve been taking a lot of the other Puritan’s Pride products (I get my Hawthorne berries, Tumeric Curcumin, High Gamma Tocopherol, and Quercetin from them) and it all seems just fine and not at all over-priced… so I thought I’d give their CoQ10 atry. Maybe it’s not as good as the hyper pharmaceutical grade stuff, but at this point (maintenance schedule) price is important. Guest guest
This is an important topic, as nutritional supplements are so often widely criticized for having unknown content, usable content, whatever. I am certainly no expert, but I am impressed with the certification organizations that Usana has used to certify their products. One of the organizations is who certifies pharmaceuticals in Australia. Here is a link to the their page, which talks about their production facilities, all in the US and two certifying organizations they use to approve their products. http://www.usana.com/dotCom/company/manufacturing/index I do not see coq10 listed on the site, we buy it from a representative. I also have read widely that many of the products out there contain very little coq10. They all seem to have impressive sounding credentials, but I would be skeptical. Especially of any produced overseas. KipBrett Breitwieser <brett@...> wrote: I really don’t know, make no claims of being a med expert at all.
