Guest guest
On may 19th, 1999, Dr william adresses the Dallas rotary club. Following is a link to his speech. After reading this, it becomes clear how the cholesterol theory skyrocketed. Take special note how Dr. cites " an average Total cholesterol level in the USA at 212, and that 50% of us will die from heart disease. " (I personaly found that number of 212 very interesting since that is also the exact mean total cholesterol of Rural Crete with the exceptionaly low rates of heart disease.) Dr. continues by praising statins, citing that they decrease rates of heart disease by 50%, and are very safe drugs. Of course today, almost ten years later we find that those statements don't hold water. Recent trials show statins don't save lives and we have learned the hard way they can do alot of damage.
