Guest guest
Thanks for the heads-up Ed. Definitely CHECKING the news... Withdrawing Vytorin (AND Zetia) would be HUGE. While there the nurse that drew my blood told me that she just heard this morning that Vyotrin has been withdrawn from sale by the FDA. She expects that it will be on all the national news broadcasts this morning. She made it sound as though only the medical community is aware of it at this point. She implied about the fact the reason why it was being withdrawn from sale is that too many of those taking it has had some sort of damage to their bodies. Just wanted to send the word out. Check the NEWS. Ed
Guest guest
It's not been pulled, it just works the same as regular Zocor. Companies are in trouble for their advertising and the fact that it is over 2 years since the trials ended. Unethical pharma companies. Where's the guillotine when you could use it so beneficially. --- Ed Gundy <edgundy@...> wrote: > I just got back from having my blood drawn for my > cholesterol > check. > > While there the nurse that drew my blood told me > that she just > heard this morning that Vyotrin has been withdrawn > from sale > by the FDA. > > She expects that it will be on all the national news > broadcasts > this morning. > > She made it sound as though only the medical > community is aware > of it at this point. > > She implied about the fact the reason why it was > being withdrawn > from sale is that too many of those taking it has > had some sort > of damage to their bodies. > > Just wanted to send the word out. > > Check the NEWS. > > Ed > > > ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Hi , The combination of Zocor and Zetia 'increases' arterial plaque, where as Zocor alone is said to decrease arterial plaque. Guest guest
Fran: I'm not sure that statins reverse plaque. The Reversal Trial which used 80 Mg of good ole Lippy reduced arterial plaque by a whopping 0.4% after 18 months. That is about as insignificat as it gets. Provacol in the same trial had a 2.4% increase in plaque. Can you imagine how many spaced out people there would be if everyone was on 80mg of Lipitor, there would be A big boom to the wheel chair industry.
