Guest guest
Here is a brief TRUE story of two brothers. One develops cardiovascular disease, the other doesn't. I personally know these men. Bob developed cardiovascular disease, his brother Dick did not. Although they shared the same biological parents, Bob and Dick lived very different lives. Bob lived his life indoors. He never engaged in recreation. He would rather sit at his desk and read than go out and water ski or play golf. Dick was different. Dick bought a lake cabin in Minnesota and went there every week-end. was proud of his pontoon boat and took friends and family out cruising the lakeshore by his lake house. Bob had no interest and remained inside. In fact, Bob stayed indoors for most his life. For the last 40 years of Bob's life, his legs never saw sunshine. Bob worked all the time. took trips to Hawaii and loved to vacation. Bob Didn't. Bob had no desire to go to the beach and relax. Work, work, work. Dick is on his pontoon boat. Bob had bypass surgery and was put on a low cholesterol, low fat diet. Still, 10 years later Bob had another heart attack. Was put on Zocor, then lost his cognitive ability. Dick is on the beach in Hawaii. Dick never developed cardiovascular disease. Dick never took statins. How do I know this story? Bob is my father, and Dick is his brother.
