Guest guest
Hi and EveryOne, When you ship Kombucha across borders you have to fill out a Customs Declaration at the post office, just like for any other package. I have always put Kombucha or Kombucha Manna Drops on the Customs form and have never had a problem with that. Since your package will contain some liquid you may have to take it to the post office rather than put it in a mailbox. Be sure to pack your Kombucha colony and a small amount of starter KT in some heavy duty food grade, plastic bags with Zip Locks....One Zip bags work well for that. If you don't have the bags use some other way to keep the contents from escaping the package....very important. Try to ship early in the week on a non holiday week so that the Kombucha gets where it is going as quickly as possible. Try to ship Priority Mail or Global Priority Mail if possible. As far as I know, the only two places on earth that will not let Kombucha through Customs are Malta and Australia. There may be an additional customs fee when the person receives the package. I shipped Kombucha Colonies all around the world for many years. No problems. Just pay extra attention to packing and timing:-)) Everyone who shares Kombucha should also include written instructions on what to do with it and how to make Kombucha tea. You are welcome ot copy and print the instructions at http://users.bestweb.net/~om/kmi/manual.html if you like. Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > Hi folks, > > It is freezing cold here in Canada, but I'm wondering if I could succeed in > shipping a scoby to the US? Are there border regulations? Guest guest
RE: Customs: The amount of customs that the receiver of a package has to pay is dependent upon the marked value of the package. That is, if the package is marked with less than 15 or 20 dollars' value, the person will not have to pay customs. --------------------------------- Abra sua conta no , o único sem limite de espaço para armazenamento!
