Guest guest
Gayle, I have Journey to the Wild Divine, too. I love that program. You can make things happen almost by just thinking about what you want to happen; it's fun. Guest guest
They gave me a little gadget when I had my hip replaced last Sept. It shows how deeply you breathe and I was told to use it 10 times each hour. I found that deep breathing eased the pain from surgery and had other beneficial effects. I now try to remind myself to deep breathe, like now when I am sitting at the 'puter. Gayla Always Enough Ranch Acampo, California http://bouncinghoofs.com/alwaysenough.html aeranch@... Guest guest
Yep, Dee...that's exactly it...power of mind over matter....doubt I'll ever have the abilities of a Tibetan monk....but it sure is cool to have events occur in a video " game " by thinking calming thoughts or exiting ones as the situation warrants and then see the corresponding changes in heart rate, etc. Also made me much more self-aware of my breathing.....very important. Guest guest
Don, A few suggestions. One is magnesium. Add magnesium citrate 3 times a day. Magnesium oxide will work for the blood pressure but using Magnesium citrate has the added benefit of being calming. Take enough til you have loose stools then back off just a little. Your blood pressure should drop dramatically. In June my doc wanted to put me on meds...that was about the same time I decided I wanted to STOP all meds. I asked her to give me a month. Within a few days, my blood pressure dropped from 150/90 to about 110/60 and has stayed down. The magnesium also seems to have corrected a problem with a fast heartbeat I'd been medicated for for nearly 30 years. I've made a lot of dramatic changes to my life, but in 6 months I've lost 50lbs, gotten off all but one medication (I was on 27 prescriptions) and many other miracles. The only thing I still take is Synthroid. I thank God for leading me to natural healing. I think kefir and kombucha and cultured veggies have played a huge role in my healing. Guest guest
Hi Don and Gayle, Just a note from my past, when I was living in the PITS, about 20 years ago. I would often catch myself barely breathing, inhaling minimally for less than a second, and barely exhaling before repeating, each " breath " taking as long as a normal breath. I got out of the PITS, and about 2 years later, after several silent heart attacks and a triple bypass I came to the realization that I had been trying, subconsciously, to commit suicide. I saw my PHC Provider last week, my BP was higher than it had been for several months, and I couldn't tell him a reason why that was so. He took it again and it was still that high. Then he (we) did a little meditation, took it again and it was satisfactory again. My PHCP dismissed me in PA for being non-compliant. Good thing, too. Guest guest
Hi Janice...so glad you shared that...good to know there are providers out there who are starting to open up to alternatives. That gives me some hope! I'm glad you found that a little meditation works for you and I'm really glad you shared you experience with us. : ) I know they say HBP is a silent killer....I rather think it's unmanaged stress! Once again..the HBP is just a symtom of something underlying. Yep.
