Guest guest
Hi , When I first started using a computer in 1994, it was specifically so that I could read more about Kombucha on this mailing list:-)) I didn't know anything about how to use a computer and not a lot more about Kombucha back then, but I knew I wanted to learn about both. If you got the individual messages instead of the digest form of the list you can just reply to individual messages without having to trim them. It is when the whole digest gets resent by pressing reply that it takes up huge amounts of space. To trim a post you need to decide what in the post that you are responding to is important enough that you should send it with your reply so that your reply makes sense enough to put it in context. Once you decide what to include in your reply you can select all of text you want to include and copy it and paste it into your reply. Or....you can select all of the rest of the post that you don't want to include and delete it. To select you usually run your cursor over the text you want to select with the button held down on your mouse this makes the text you select appear with a darkened area surrounding it so you can see what you have selected and what you haven't. Select what you want and then copy it, or delete it depending on whether or not it is what you want to include in your reply. To copy you usually can click on Edit on the top of your email program or browser and in the drop down menu slide your cursor to either copy or paste or delete depending on which you want to do. You can also use Shift and Capital C for copy and Shift and capital V for paste. You may need to play with this for awhile but once you learn how to do it you will use it a lot so it is worth learning. If you run into problems please ask...there are lots of people on this list who can probably do a better job of explaining it than I just did:-)) Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > Thank you for saying that Patty.
