Not at all, MArge ! :-) I do that on a regular basis.

If you prefer your kefir a bit milder you can finish the fermenting

in your fridge - to warmest part, which is the top.

This will prevent the Kefir oversouring.

We pronounce 'K' like the 'C' in cat and follow it with ...effeer.

Can't answer the questions Marge, but I once heard it said ,supposedly

correctly.

I think it was on " Dom's Kefir page " .

Like you, my version rhymes with heifer and will probably stay doing so (Old

dogs, new tricks), but I think the purists say it like Kefeer

I said " KEIFIR' also till i read dom's-maybe it has to do w his bring

australian? if i remember maybe both are right prolly have to go to caucasian

pronunciations?
